Agro Business Park / INBIOM have together with a number of central players, the responsibility to coordinate the work package regarding biogas production and processes. The target group is biogas plants, production engineers, researchers etc. Developments in a number of areas will be made, for example regarding marine substrates, straw and household waste. Developments will be made in relation to the biogas process, including testing a new Norwegian technology in relation to thin pig slurry in Skive Municipality.

The project will focus on exchange of experiences concerning the degassed biomass, such as environmental approvals, which are different in the three countries. Furthermore, work in relation to cleaning and upgrading the biomass, for example at farm level, in fuel cells etc., will be carried out. Skive Municipality will commence the project “Power2Gas” plant/Greenlab at Salling, which requires investments in biogas, windmills and methanisation technologies. Samsø Municipality will work with biogas production and upgrading for the new gas ferry.

The project also has activities in relation to biogas for fleet transport via the Union of Danish Transport Centers, Gas2Move and HMN, as well as a focus on establishing biogas at Zealand, where Frederikssund Municipality, Energy Cluster Zealand and Roskilde University are central.

Agro Business Park/ INBIOM are responsible for the business related parts of the project and will work to involve and create innovation and cooperation between organisations, knowledge institutions and public partners.

The project is economic supported by the Interreg ØKS program and,  moreover, the Central Denmark Region, Region Zealand and a number of participating partners contribute with their own funding to the project. Innovatum AB in Trollhättan leads the project and in Denmark, the national coordinator is Skive Municipality.
